Hi, I am Dr Sara Ramzan
A UK-registered pharmacist, independent prescriber, and behaviour change speacialist with a PhD in the use of type 2 diabetes medicines. I help people think differently about health, habits and wellbeing.
I live in the UK with my husband and two daughters. When I am not working you will find me experimenting in the kitchen, spending time outdoors, or juggling family life which means I understand better than most what it feels like to try to keep your own health on the list when life is already full.
My Story so far
I have always been fascinated by how everyday behaviours shape our health, and how the struggle with change is rarely about knowledge. It is about pressure, self-criticism and disconnection from ourselves.
As a pharmacist working in diabetes and clinical care, I kept noticing a pattern. People were offered medical solutions for lifestyle conditions without enough support to understand the habits and inner dialogue that shape their health. The daily routines, the burnout culture they were living inside, the way they talked to themselves after a difficult day these things mattered as much as any prescription.
This led me to focus on behaviour change, not as a way to push people harder, but as a way to think about health with more intention.
My work sits at the intersection of behaviour change, disease prevention and longevity. I help people and organisations explore why change feels difficult, how weight stigma, self-criticism and pressure show up in their relationship with food and health, and what becomes possible when we move away from guilt and restriction towards habits that actually fit real life. That includes the practical things too how portion sizes work, how your environment shapes what you eat and how you move, and how small changes in your surroundings can make healthy choices easier without relying on willpower.
My belief is simple: sustainable behaviour change does not come from more pressure or willpower. It comes from greater self-awareness, less self-judgment and a kinder relationship with how we care for ourselves.
